  1. Understand the situation

Students and their parents should understand Singapore’s education system, national conditions and future employment prospects of professional courses before studying abroad, understand the annual tuition and living expenses required by international students, and more importantly, understand the situation of schools in Singapore.

  1. Apply for a Singapore school admission notice

After choosing a school, students need to know more detailed information about the school and prepare the relevant application forms, then submit an admission application to the chosen Singapore school, and provide the Singapore school you are applying for with the application materials it needs:

University graduation certificate; university grades; copies of the first and last pages of the applicant’s passport.

  1. Apply for a student visa

After receiving the admission letter from the Singapore school, you can submit a student visa application to the Singapore Immigration Department. The Immigration Department requires the following information.

Notarized materials (the following should be notarized in both English and your local language):

Original notarized birth certificate; original notarial certificate of university graduation certificate; original notarized certificate of university grades (if there is a degree certificate and the degree certificate also needs to be notarized).

The following parts do not require notarization, but both the local language and English versions are required:

6 passport-sized standard photos (only photos with white background are accepted); the original bank fixed deposit certificate; the original parent’s occupation certificate; if the applicant has graduated for more than 6 months, the applicant’s occupation certificate or study certificate is required; if the applicant has gotten married, you need the original notarized copy of the marriage certificate, the original notarized copy of the applicant’s spouse’s birth certificate and the original work certificate.

  1. Obtain a visa and prepare for departure

After receiving the visa, it is generally recommended that students arrive in Singapore a week or two in advance, so that they can explore the scenery of Singapore and understand the culture of Singapore before the start of the semester.

There is no unified entrance examination for masters in Singapore, and students have two admission opportunities each year, in January for spring admission and August for autumn admission. Most science and engineering majors at the National University of Singapore have two admission opportunities in January and August each year. Some majors of Singapore Management University have two admission opportunities in January and July each year.
