Who is Gekyume Onfroy?
On January 26, 2019, Gekyume Onfroy was born. He is the son of the late American rapper, singer, and songwriter known by his stage name XXXTentacion, Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy. The highly successful rapper’s career took off quickly, enabling him to achieve things that most people can only hope to do. He was one of the most well-known SoundCloud musicians connected to the rap scene. After being tragically shot during a robbery at a motorcycle dealership in Deerfield Beach, Florida, XXXTentacion, popularly known as “X,” passed away far too soon.
Birth of Gekyume Onfroy-
Three days after his June death, when he was dating Jenesis Sanchez, his mother revealed on Instagram that they were expecting his first child. He also selected the names Gekyume for a boy and Xiorra for a girl, it was discovered. Three days after the late rapper’s birthday, at which point he would have turned 21 years old, Gekyume was born.
In 2016, Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy achieved immense popularity after his song “Look at Me” went viral on social media and SoundCloud. The Florida-born rapper, whose passing on Monday shocked the music industry, never looked back after that.

The real success for XXXTentacion, though, came when his debut album 17, which peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200, was launched last year. When it was released in March, his second album “?” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album addressed issues like depression, and several well-known celebrities praised the rapper.

In spite of not being married, Onfroy’s parents started dating in 2017 and lived till his father’s demise. When his father was killed, his mother was two months along with him. Gekyume’s grandma Cleopatra shared the news of his birth on Instagram. She calls the child “Yume” with affection. A post announcing Gekyume’s birth was also made on XXXTentacion’s official Instagram account, which is managed by the late rapper’s family and manager. Gekyume’s late father helped him become famous before he was even born. He stays with his mother, who routinely uploads pictures and videos of him to Instagram and TikTok.

Allegations on XXXTentaction-
Unfortunately, allegations of domestic abuse haunted his brief career. He had been charged with domestic violence by his pregnant ex-girlfriend in 2016, and he was in the process of being sentenced at the time of his death. He was imprisoned in December 2017 after being charged with witness manipulation and attempting to force the woman, according to the court. While he delayed his sentencing on allegations of battery and harassment, he was under house arrest.
Gekyume’s Custody-
Since the Instagram model filed for paternity at the beginning of last year, XXX’s mother Cleopatra Bernard and girlfriend Jenesis Sanchez have both been in and out of court. The problem arose last month when Bernard asked for custody of Gekyume. A guardian ad litem was appointed by the court to supervise the situation and determine who should have primary custody. Although the records are locked, it seems that Sanchez is still the child’s legal guardian.
On January 28, the baby turned one. With the caption “My love,” Bernard shared a picture of the cute tot holding a cake, but it’s not obvious if she was with him at the time, and there are no pictures of her with him. Also, Sanchez shared a photo wishing him a good birthday. Perhaps they were able to work things out and join him in his celebration in some way, or perhaps even together.
The late performer, whose true name was Jahseh Onfroy, “particularly chose” the name Gekyume “for his first-born son,” according to the family statement.It adds that the family was “honoured to fulfil his dream” and that Gekyume “means ‘other condition’ or ‘next’ universe of thought.
